At the blessing and dedication of the Dante E. Tognazzi Jr. Outpatient Services Colonnade on November 15, 2017, Marian Regional Medical Center was honored to recall the many blessings Marian has received. As the dedication ceremony announced, the Outpatient Services Colonnade will serve as an inviting doorway into the healing work at Marian. Thanks to the generous planned gift of the late Dante E. Tognazzi, Jr., Marian has honored his life through this welcoming feature on the campus.
The Madonna and Child sculpture also adorns our new Dante E. Tognazzi Jr. Outpatient Services Colonnade. The exquisite likeness of the Blessed Mother and Christ child serves as a reminder that Marian serves to heal all with compassion and love. The Madonna and Child also is an iconic and moving visual depiction of love that is central to the faith-based ministry of the Sisters of Saint Francis. Due to their shared faith with the sisters, the Grogan Family chose to sponsor the placing of this sculpture that will allow future Marian patients and family members to experience Mary and Jesus’ presence, bringing comfort, a sense of peace, and a feeling of love to all who enter the doors of Marian.
With several Sisters of Saint Francis, members of Dante's family, and many community members on hand, this dedication ceremony reminded all of Marian past as we seek to fulfill our promise of serving the community for years to come.
