A "bear-y" special Valentine's Day delivery from local high school student, Sophia Ferreira

Arroyo Grande High School student Sophia Ferreira delivered 40 custom Valentine’s Day gift boxes to pediatric inpatients, an act of kindness from the goodness of her heart. The boxes, filled with toys and children's activities, were inspired by her own childhood hospital stay, during which she underwent emergency surgery. Sophia said she knows how difficult it can be for children who are hospitalized and wanted to give back to her community in a meaningful way.

With support from her school and community, she organized the gift drive to bring joy and reassurance to children facing a hospital stay and treatment at Marian. Her act of kindness is a heartfelt reminder of the power of compassion and the impact young people can have on others!
